Online Master of Science in Health Informatics
With the online Master of Science in Health Informatics (MSHI) from The University of Scranton, you will learn to make informed, data-driven healthcare decisions that keep a person’s health at the center of his or her care. Focused on developing an integrative approach to patient care, the master’s in health informatics will equip you with interdisciplinary tools in computer science, communication, information systems, and leadership – giving you the breadth and depth of knowledge necessary to excel in the growing, in-demand field of Health Informatics.
The curriculum ensures that holistic values are the driving force behind the theories and lessons you learn as you progress through the degree. Upon completion of the 33-credit-hour program, you will understand how health informatics applies to the areas of medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, public health, occupational therapy, physical therapy, other health care disciplines and bio-medical research. While our program is suited to professionals already in health, business and technology fields, our specially designed on-boarding program allows students without backgrounds in health or computer science to succeed. One-credit hour foundational modules will give you the fundamentals necessary to thrive in the program.
